Door Darshan or DD national or DD1 is one of the flagship channel and most widely available channel in India, is now a trending topic of twitter India, the channel began broadcasting on experimental way in the year 1959 and then shifted at Akashvani Bhavan situated in New Delhi as AIR.
Some of the sister channels of DoorDarshan are DD News, DD India, DD Bharati, DD Metro and DD Sports.
Another channel associated with DD was DD metro where loads of TV soaps such as Shaktiman, Bomkesh Bakshi, Nukkar, Circus, Fauji used to watched by me and my family. It was 1990 where DD 1 and DD 2 were only 2 channels available for Indian customers.
There were other cartoon series such as Jungle Book, Disney and others were available for children.
